The Forks of Cypress

Built in 1830 in Florence, by James Jackson, cousin to Andrew Jackson.

The construction was completed one year before the Great Indian Removal, also known as The Trail of Tears.

The Forks of Cypress plantation was situated adjacent to The General John Coffee Plantation, near today's Cox Creek Parkway and Cloverdale Road.

The Forks of Cypress was destroyed in a fire in 1966.
